Jail Media: What about the clothing in there? Did they have assigned uniforms?
Ben Smith: Yeah, all general population inmates are in the County Blue. It’s just a blue outfit, like scrubs like what a doctor would wear. The trustees would wear green – that’s the only difference.
Jail Media: What’s a trustee?
Ben Smith: A trustee is anyone that works in there. If you can be a trustee, do it. The guards treat you a lot better, and you get fed a lot better. You’re dealing with other inmates that aren’t trying to get in trouble, that are just trying to do their time.
Jail Media: Is the clothing the same for men and women?
Ben Smith: I think the girls wear light blue. Everyone wears the scrubs.
